Mi hermana y yo aterrizamos en Quito, capital de Ecuador, el sábado por la tarde tras 11 horas de vuelo desde Madrid. Allí, en el aeropuerto, nos estaba esperando nuestro amigo Carlos, y más tarde nos juntaríamos con Carolina también. Esta ha sido la historia de un viaje semi-programado y más bien improvisado, en el que cerramos la salida el pasado viernes, para coger un avión unas 18 horas después.
De momento Ecuador se ha presentado en dos días como un país completamente sorprendente y tremendamente bonito. País de contrastes, como el que me vio nacer, y en el que, para no variar con respecto a mis anteriores experiencias en Centroamerica y Sudamerica, el sabor de la comida adquiere su máximo potencial, a diferencia de "lo" que ingerimos en Europa.

Dos días más en Quito y nos dispondremos a iniciar la Ruta del Sol, un recorrido que abarca la costa pacífica del país pudiendo seguir disfrutando de esta naturaleza abrumadora, para acabar en Montañita, una de las Mecas del surf en el globo entero. Esperemos que sea posible tomar algún bañito en esta costa pacífica!!

My sister and me landed in Quito, Ecuador's capital, on saturday evening after eleven hours of flight from Madrid. There, in the airport, our friend Carlos was waiting for us, and later that day we gathered together with Carolina as well. This has been a half-scheduled and rather improvised trip's story, in which we closed the departure last friday, to take a plane around 18 hours later.
Ecuador has come up in these 2 days as a completely surprising and tremendously beautiful country so far.
A contrasts country (like the one where I was born in) and in which, as usual regarding to my previous experiences in Central America and South America, food taste gets to its maximum potential, unlike the "things" that we ingest in Europe.

Two more days in Quito and we will get ready to start the Ruta del Sol ("Sun's route"), an itinerary that covers the Pacific Ocean's coast in the country, keeping on enjoying this overwhelming nature, and finishing in Montañita, one of the most important spots in the whole world for surfing. Hope may it be possible to take some swim in the Pacific coast!!
