Sin mal de altura... / No altitude sickness...

... visitando el volcán Pichincha.

Ayer cogimos el teleférico y ascendimos a unos 4.100 metros. Visitamos este volcán que preside el callejón interandino, dominando la ciudad de Quito desde las alturas. Un pensamiento dominante allí arriba: desde esos cielos uno ve lo pequeñitos que somos en nuestras ciudades, lo insignificantes y "carentes" (aparentemente) de importancia en este mundo...

Inconveniencias e imprevistos típicos en cualquier viaje han hecho suspender nuestra visita a la costa... toy triste :( ... pero a cambio, hemos podido disfrutar de visitas a zonas nuevas de esta ciudad que nunca se acaba, que ofrece un montón de cosas para hacer y disfrutar.

El tiempo en esta parte del mundo se acaba en breves y quiero desde ya dar las gracias a Carlos, Carol y Leo. Habéis hecho de esta visita algo para guardar en el "archivo" de muy buenos recuerdos!!!

...visiting Pichincha volcano.

Yesterday we got the cable railway and moved upward reaching 4.100 meters. We visited this volcano that presides over the "callejón interandino" (literally "inter-Andres backstreet"), ruling the city of Quito from the heights. A prevailing thought up there: from the skies you can tell how small we are in our cities, insignificant and "lacking" (apparently) of importance in this world...

Inconveniences and unexpected happens, typical in every trip, made our visit to the coast to be cancelled... "I'm" sad :( ... but in exchange, we have been able to enjoy new zones of this city that never ends, and offers a pile of things to do and enjoy.

Time in this part of the world will shortly be finishing soon and in this very moment I want to thank Carlos, Carol and Leo. You manage to turn this visit into something unforgettable, to keep in the good memories "file"!!
